Purification of the Heart

Whoever wishes to purify their heart shall put Allah before their desires. Hearts attached to desires are veiled from Allah to the extent of their attachment. Hearts are vessels for Allah on this earth. The most beloved of hearts to Him are the most tender, steadfast and pure. – Ibn al-Qayyim
